Regular Programs
Submit completed application with $50.00 nonrefundable application fee Provide verification of graduation (High school transcript or GED must be mailed to us directly from the school or board of education, and must have an official seal).
Regular programs include Culinary Arts, Electromechanical Technology, HVAC/R. All programs have enrollment limits. For those with an overabundance of applicants, the application fee will not be required until notification of acceptance. Post-secondary students who wish to apply for a slot in a high school program may complete the application and defer fee payment until notification of acceptance. Post-secondary students will be accepted into high school programs only if slots remain after all high school requests have been processed. Coming in 2012 - 2013 James Rumsey will be offering a certified Massage Therapy Program.
Automotive Mechanics
Submit completed application and be prepared to pay $50.00 nonrefundable fee. Arrange with front office to take a short pre-admission test. Fee payment will be required upon notification of acceptance.

Licensed Practical Nursing (To Top)
Candidates must attend an orientation; call (304) 754-9712 to schedule. Submit application and be prepared to pay $50.00 nonrefundable application fee upon acceptance. Take pre-admission test by mid-March. Orientation, test preparation and practice testing are available through our Learning Center. The Learning Center telephone number is (304)754-9712. Cost of the TEAS V exam is $60.00.Test preparation services are provided at no charge.

Must be in good physical health (verified by a physical exam). Drug screen (approximately $40.00) and FBI background check (approximately $25.00) required. Must be able to lift 40 pounds from floor to waist and stand for long periods of time.
Candidates who score the minimum required percentiles, both total and reading, will be asked to attend an interview and provide three letters of reference from previous school officials or employers. Upon notification of acceptance, submit $50.00 nonrefundable application fee.
Surgical Technologist (To Top)

Upon acceptance, must provide verification of graduation.(High school transcript or GED must be mailed directly to us from the school or board of education, and must have an official seal).
Once accepted, must show verification of up-to-date shot record, ppd, tetanus within 10 years, and Hepatitis B vaccine, and physical examination. Must be able to lift 40 pounds from floor to waist and stand for long periods of time.
You will be required to pass a drug test (approximately $40.00) and FBI criminal background check (approximately $25.00)
Truck Driving (To Top)
To begin the application process, must attend an orientation program, where the process will be explained more thoroughly. These orientations are held every Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. (no appointment necessary). See the instructor's homepage for details.
Students must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age or 18 with two (2) years of driving experience.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license in West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland or Pennsylvania.
- Must not have had more than six (6) points against his/her driving record. (It is the responsibility of the applicant to furnish a certified original copy of his/her Dept. of Motor Vehicles record prior to final acceptance.)
- Driving while under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs within the past year.
- Transporting drugs.
- Leaving the scene of an accident during the year prior to enrollment.
- Using a vehicle to commit a serious crime.
- Convicted of a felony offense during the year prior to enrollment.
- Applicant must schedule and pass a drug test and a Department of Transportation approved physical examination at Business Health Services in Martinsburg. Payment for these tests will be required along with the application fee (approximately $220.00).
- Must have no physical impairments that would interfere with the ability to drive a CMV (Carrier Motor Vehicle)) as outlined in the FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations). Certain medications are also prohibited. You can call the WV DOT @ (304)347-5935 to determine medical eligibility.
