Founded in 1976, Health Occupations Students of America is an international organization that encourages leadership, knowledge, and technical skills among students enrolled in health education programs. Student members participate in several activities such as community service projects, fundraisers, and skills competitions. Participating in HOSA allows students to develop leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and self-esteem. Membership also opens up opportunities for networking and earning scholarships.
