On The Day of Caring, everybody worked together to clean up Horses for Hearts. A lot of things needed to be done. We had to get all the seed pods from the weeds growing in the fields where the horses go. It was a tricky job because you had to be extra careful. We also had to clean up the wood lines. The farm owners had been saving cans and other scrap metal for charity, but the charity had stopped collecting the metal and it just sat in the woods. While we were cleaning, we found a fence and Mr. Lance kept it to use in the Carpentry class at James Rumsey.
