On Friday, December 4th, JRTI held its annual Teacher of the Year breakfast. This year’s breakfast was a little different than normal as everyone complied with social distancing and mask requirements. The faculty are used to these challenges and didn’t let that stop them from celebrating with their colleagues.

The three finalists for the award were Cliff Arntz, high school Electrical Technician Instructor, John Godish, ACE Electrical Technician Instructor, and David Morgan, Multimedia Publishing Instructor. The finalists are chosen from eight recipients of Teacher of the Term. Each nine-week term, students recommend teachers for the award. One high school and one ACE program instructor are chosen. Three finalists are picked from this list. The candidates interview with members of the Local School Improvement Council who make the final decision.

The recipient of JRTI’s Teacher of the Year is David Morgan.
